Within 24 hours in Osaka, Japan, FEG will be bringing us yet another enticing MMA card in the form of DREAM 12. Not only is the card packed with a number of interesting match-ups, but the event marks the introduction of the promotion's experimental, hexagonal cage in place of a ring. It'll be interesting to see how the Japanese competitors who have never fought in such an environment fare, to say the least. Joining me in bringing you your forecast for tomorrow are Jamie Hughes, Jack Barrington, Matt Bremner, and Brad Taschuk.

Cain via Decision (split, unanimous, majority) @ +225 on Partybets

Cain Velasquez is easily the most hyped fighter we’ve heard about in the heavyweight division for a long time. But should you be taking him at -300 he is being billed at against Ben Rothwell? The answer is a resounding NO. Cain needs to win this fight more than 75% of the time to make this bet even playable, and while I feel that he does, it’s not by enough to make this bet worth your time. There are better spots to put your money, and I’m going to explain one to you right now.

What does Shogun need to do to slay the Dragon?
Written by Jack Barrington

Prior to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua’s last UFC bout, I wrote about the improvements he needed to make in order to be successful in the UFC. Fans had been critical of his lack of conditioning, evident in his first two UFC fights, and Shogun as a fighter had seemed entirely antithetical to the “non-stop, cardio for days, superstar” that the UFC had been heavily promoting from PRIDE.

I remained only moderately concerned with his physical shape, which could be explained rather easily by the two serious knee injuries he suffered, shortly before his recent underwhelming performances. Instead, I was worried by far uglier, underlying holes in the Brazilian’s game, such as his lack of head movement and basic boxing skills which drifted to the surface with the disappearance of his relentless pace.

In this interview, "The Horror" discusses his path as a fighter, the level of discipline in his training camp, his upcoming opponent, and who he would like to fight in the future. The FightLockdown Aftermath - WEC 43: Cerrone vs. Henderson

The WEC put on a rare Saturday night card this past weekend, which was originally scheduled to take place over a month ago. If I could sum up the card in only one sentence it would be "worth the wait". As with most WEC cards, the final product was fantastic, even better than the card appeared heading in. The WEC's ability to continually put on such fantastic events is truly unprecedented in the modern world of MMA. However, as with most cards these days, WEC 43 was not without its own controversy, and as always, it seemingly comes back to judging and/or refereeing. All of these topics will be broached as Matt Bremner and Brad Taschuk discuss whose proverbial stock is on the upswing, who is holding steady, and who needs a bailout from Nobel Peace Prize winner Obama. All after the jump!
