I’m not even saying if he wins, unless he looks incredibly impressive (in Montreal) - I mean, he’s going to have to go out there and dazzle me, for me to want Chuck to still fight. I love him, and I don’t want to see what I saw in his last fight ever again.”

These comments were made by Dana White last week regarding Chuck Liddell’s future in the UFC.

At around 0:50 Chuck addresses the issue of retirement.

Why would Chuck retire if he’s still competitive with the elite of the division?  While he has lost 3 of his last 4 fights, they were all against the top Light Heavyweights and he was competitive in most of them.  He won round 1 against both Jardine and Rashad and won a dominant victory over Wanderlei Silva.  That doesn’t seem like a fighter that should consider retirement.
