View Full Version : So the Dunham/Griffin decision....

One of the least deserved split decisions ever? I think this one even beats Guida/Aurelio...
Griffin won no rounds and none of them were even gray area close....round 1 you might think that Griffin sort of had some offense, but Dunham did enough taking his back to win the round pretty clearly IMO.
Round 2 was all Dunham, not even close
Round 3 was all Dunham, not even close
and yet we have a split decision...just pathetic

Agreed. How anyone could score that for Griffin is unbelievable and very suspicious.
I can only guess that they scored the little backfists that Griffin threw while Dunham had his back as enough to win the round. Crazy.

The one time I bet on that &#^$*#*hole Griffin he # &#(#()en lets me down. Go figure.
Ah well, at least he lost and I don;t have to see him in any ""exciting"" matches any tiem soon.

Dunham is no joke...that's the worst that Griffin's ever been dominated...w/ 4 wins in the UFC, this guy is approaching contendership

I picked Dunham to win via UD, so the mongoloid judge who scored it for Griffin definitely fucked me over in CPL.
I could see the argument for Evan losing the first, but after that it was all him.

same here man , but i won my cpl match anyway , funny thing was i originally put it as a SD but changed it to a UD at the last moment, dunham looked great though, very impressive to control and explosive and talented guy like tyson.

Anyone know what the judges cards were for the McDonald vs Condit fight?
Rogan was slobbering at the mouth saying how McDonald had won the first two rounds but I think they were pretty close. Had McDonald survived the last round it could have been an interesting decision.
Maybe even a 28 - 28 Draw? With Rory winning the first two rounds 10 - 9 and losing the last 10 - 8.
It would have been fucking hilarious if McDonald won a decision given the state of his facial structure.

i think it would have been avery close split decision on the cards and i agree the first two rounds you could have scored either way.
but his face was a mess , condit has some pointy elbows haha
Before tonight nobody gave Dunham love except for Miles and me. Now you guys come out of the woodwork.

This fight made me sad. I really like Tyson Griffin. This will set him back yet again for like the 3rd time.

Not enireley cause Iwas gonna pick Dunham b ut didnt becasuse I thought Griffin was one of those guuy you picked bcause he was a sure winner.
but who cares. Griffin lost so did I but whate ever. He pisses me off.
You guys gotta keep in mind also that Tyson has been on shelf since his last fight in September of 2009.

Not me, I was blown away by his ability to control all aspects of the fight with a very tough and experienced Tyson. Very, very impressive performance and he definitely deserves to face the top guys now imo.
I have absolutely no clue how it was scored as a split though. Maybe, just maybe you could see the first going to Tyson and not be the worst ever but someone giving either round 2 or 3 to Tyson is ridiculous.

I have given Dunham some love, I have picked him in his last few fights.
I think the only round that you could of argued for Tyson was the first but I think Dunham won it in the end.
Was Tony Weeks the judge in the Penn/Edgar fight or was that Doug Crosby?

Seconded. 'Tis was sad. He's young guy though so he'll bounce back....

Tyson's got a habit of putting himself in bad positions on the ground during scrambles, which is why I picked Dunham whose ground game has impressed me since the Escudero fight.

Goofy judging, no doubt about that. I picked Griffin, but like I said in the forecast thread, this was the toughest fight for me to pick on the card. Dunham is an excellent fighter, and for all the talk Rogan does of how Griffin improves every time out there, his game looks like it has really stagnated to me.

You still would've lost in the CPL, but it would've been much closer.

Why does he constantly say that?
Griffin's been the same fighter for a while IMO.
Weird judging, nice performance from Dunham.

Yeah. Griffin has looked pretty much the same to me since the Tibau fight.

That, the Wiman stoppage, and Rothwell fucked me over.
