So we have room on the rankings committee for a couple more contributors, and I figured I'd throw it open to see if anybody wants in.

As a member of the rankings committee you are required to submit a full set (World Rankings - HW, LHW, MW, WW, LW, FW, BW divisions, UFC Rankings - HW, LHW, MW, WW, LW divisions, and P4P Rankings) of top 15 rankings for each division on a loose "once per month" basis.

To aid you in this, I will provide a full set of results over that month for any fighters that are currently top 15 or just below, which are posted in a thread in the rankings committee section. There's also a thread clearing up any discrepancies over who should be ranked in which division, for fighters who have competed in more than one division recently.

Once the rankings are all compiled, you also then get to discuss the final set with the other committee members, and weed out anything that you feel is incorrect before they are published.

It might sound like a lot of work (and it can seem like it if you leave them until the last minute) but if you keep a set of your own and update them after each event, then it ends up being a 5 minute job every couple of weeks, which is nothing. And with the recent results thread that I maintain (an idea championed by Brad I think, it may have been JT when he used to do them), it makes it even easier.

It's a cool way to keep track of the divisions and how you see them, and you'll also be contributing to the site and can be part of something discussed on other forums etc where they'll be posted, so those 5 minutes after each event will really go a long way.

Let me know if anybody's interested.

Are the rankings purely based off records?

They're based on wins and losses, not on who you think is the better fighter if that's what you're asking.

More so if how they preformed in a fight can affect the rankings, but I figured it was based on win/loses.

If it's based on wins/losses and not who's the better fighter then I think it's more like a standings list than a rankings list. If it's going to be a rankings list I'm in.
