My dad got me an iPad for my birthday the 64 gig wifi only one. I know there was a thread where their purpose was debated but I must say so far I really enjoy it. I can be online while the wife uses the laptop, was perfect to watch a movie on during my flight today as well. I'm an android lover and had considered some of their tabs but def happy getting the iPad instead.
One thing im curious about if anyone else uses the iPad is embedded YouTube videos. They show on some pages but not others, for example all the ones on here just say BORKED. Not sure if there is a way around this.

My dad has the Galaxy tab. It's pretty lame, IMO.
I'm not a big fan of these tabs anyway. They are too small and underpowered to pass for a laptop and too big and clunky to pass for a smart phone.

I work for tmobile so def familiar with the galaxy tab it's just ok. The newer tabs with android 3.0 are def better. I agree tabs aren't powerful enough to replace computers but are a great for portable entertainment, movies, books, music etc. I must say as well web browsing is pretty enjoyable on this thing.

The galaxy's internet is usually really slow and other times it's lightning fast depending on the connection to the 4g network (not a tech expert so not sure if this is why)
personally I really couldn't justify spending that kind of money on a tablet when I could probably get a solid laptop for the same amount.

I got an ipad through my school - I actually got a lot of my books through google e-books this semester rather than hard copies. I was pretty skeptical at first but I'm enjoying mine.

I def wouldn't have bought one myself as money could go towards other things but was a present and really enjoying it so far.

There is only one good Android tablet and thats the Xoom. If your not getting that one then don't bother getting a tablet at all if your interested in an Android model. I like it much better than the iPad personally, but I'm an Android user, so I'm bias towards it

I'm thinking about getting one just so I can do level 40 of Red Remover. I can't do it on my mac book.
I have an android phone. I like the widgets, but other than that I want an iphone.
