As for the GSP/Shields fight, I really believed GSP was going to tear Shields up. The fight didn’t go like I thought it would at all. Let me tell everybody now, I like GSP, he’s a good guy and he’s somebody I wouldn’t mind sitting next to on a plane ride or at a supper table. So don’t think that I’m talking out of bitterness for the two losses, I’m speaking through experienced eyes that have been in these situations. GSP actually looked worse in this fight than I’ve ever seen him before. I really feel like Georges fights not to lose, he just doesn’t fight to win anymore. I like Georges, I like watching him fight, I wish there was some way I could help him to get that hunger back inside of him. Georges has the potential of being so much better than what we’ve seen recently. If Jake had won one more round he would have won the fight, based on how the judges scored it. So an interesting fight and a little disappointing at being the last fight of the night.

agree?

I agree. This was GSP's worst performance in the UFC, including his losses.

This is exactly how i feel. GSP should perhaps change his gym and training partners, mix it up a bit.

I concur with Hughes sentiment and would like to subscribe to his news letter. By subscribe to his news letter I don't actually mean subscribe to his news letter.

Idk... GSP seems to mix it up more than any other person in MMA already.

Maybe he should go to mental coach or sth, cause dude is becoming more tentative for each fight. It's gonna reach Vera-level soon.

hes passed vera along time ago... vera's problem is he sucks.. he was going for the kill in the thiago fight.. he just couldnt keep it standing

Nah, Vera used to smash fools at HW yet he couldn't finish Reese Andy and that Polish dude. Also Jardine when everyone and their grandmother were knocking him out. Sorry Neg :o

Jardine's chin is inconsistent tho.. Chuck didnt KO him.. Rampage didnt KO him.. Mousasi didnt KO him

Only 2 people KO'd Jardine recently before the Vera fight.. Houston and Wandy..

I dont remember the fight much but I actually picked Jarinde to win before it took place.. so I think its a bad example.

Vera use to wreck mostly bums at HW.. and once he started to fight decent fighters he lacked success..

Vera may have gotten more tentative.. but hes not on GSPs level of lack of killer instinct.. he just sucks too much to finish people

Agreed on most points, but Vera has much more KO power than GSP and he doesn't go for powershots anymore (except vs Randy), while GSP throws with bad intentions sometimes and he simply doesn't have much finishing power. His GnP isn't what it use to be, remember when he raped Sherk, dude was a killer back then.

I like his fight with Karo too. Not just for how GSP handled Karo, but for how Karo was looking for submissions off his back.

His fight with Mayhem was probably my favorite. He just mercilessly beat the shit out of him. Punched him, elbowed him, and cranked on his limbs like an action figure.

His fight with Karo was really something else. Karo accused him of being on steroids because nobody is supposed to be able to escape his kimura and Georges just muscled out of it.

I was a fan of GSP back when he fought Miller, I really enjoyed that fight an used to get behind him as he fought very aggressively. The past several years I just can't like him, Hughes said what I've been saying for some time; GSP fights to not lose, he doesn't fight to win he just does enough to make sure he isn't going to lose.

Tim Sylvia used to fight not to lose when he had the title and was shit on for many years just for those 3 decision defenses.

GSP is loved unconditionally.

I just don't get the love this guy gets from the average Joe.

Sure he's Canadian, a world champ, makes lots of money, a good athlete with a great physique.....wait, wat was the question again?

Those that love GSP unconditionally are latent homosexuals really.

The one they call "Hughes" speaks much sense...

That fight sucked tremendous ass... Georges should've slaughtered Shields with ease.

Embarrassing times to be a GSP fan I reckon.
