Hey guys:
First off - I want to thank Fight Lockdown for allowing me to be an official Fantasy League for their forum.
The way our fantasy league works is as follows:
Each season lasts for 3 months and costs $21.50 to get in. Our first season was in January, and our second season starts April 1st. We only use UFC cards.
For every UFC card, you pick 1) the winners, 2) the method (ko/sub/dec), and 3) the round the fight is going to end in. You also pick the fight, ko, and submission of the night.
Scoring is as follows:
1) Main event fight: 6 pts for winner, 3 for method, 3 for round.
2) Main Card fights: 4 for winner, 2 for method, 2 for round.
3) Prelims: 2 for winner, 1 for method, 1 for round.
4) "Hot fight" (prelim fight with the closest betting odds) - same as main card fights.
Also - you get 4 pts for each bonus you correctly pick, with an additional 4 pts for getting all 3 right.
At the end of the 3 month season - usually 7-9 events long, the person with the most cumulative points gets two tickets to a UFC PPV event, including hotel and airfare. 2nd place gets a Kindle Fire. 3rd place gets the best of UFC 2011 on DVD or Blu Ray. Also - the highest scorer of each individual card gets a small gift card.
We also run a side contest - which is for the first 64 people that sign up. It's head to head, with the winner getting free entry into the next season.
I'm pretty sure that covers it. Everything is done through Paypal, and we have software on our site that allows you to do "one click" voting. Our new season starts soon, and you can check it out at http://fenichelsfantasyfightleague.com
