go look at my bonus picks and give yourself whatever I scored.. I think thats a realistic estimate on how many you would have got.

Some of them were super easy.. some were random as hell

Altho I actually played some of them pretty poorly... and often picked opposite KO of the night / sub of the night picks compared to the winners / methods I picked.. to try to gain points no matter what happens

I'm glad they dont tbh.. even tho theres 9 events .. variance is still pretty high because main card and main event fights are worth so much more than prelims

if you do amazing in the prelims and bad on main card fights youll do shitty

adding something to get even more points on the higher pay out fights would increase variance more

Meh, for as much as we like to debate on this site I dont think too many things get persauded to go the other way.

Take for instance the Guillard fight, I can only see it going one of two ways, Guillard KO/TKO or Camoes Sub....you could argue until your blue in the face for either guy and im still gonna be on the fence for either prediction.

Mendes/McKenzie - Mendes is probably the easiest pick of the night but not sold at all that he finishes McKenzie.

Camoes/Guillard - ending in first rd

Murmagomedov/Tibau - Tibau should win handily but decision is very likely IMO.

Izquierdo/Oliveira - Newbie against a guy who is 1-4 in the UFC? would stay well away.

Le/Cote - Le could end it in the first but im doubting it, Cote has a very good beard and I think if anyone is going to sleep its Le.

Of course those are my losers lol. The problem is I think there will probably be more decisions that finishes, but I have to narrow down who I think has a better chance of being finished.

Silva could stop Sonnen, but I personally don't think it is going to happen

I don't see Tito/Griffin being any different than the last two

Maia could sub Kim, but I don't see Kim stopping Maia

Cote/Le is a tough one and really depends on which fighters show up. Lazy out of shape Le/ripped leg kicking, fight stopping machine or bomb throwing Cote/point fighting Cote looking to wrestle or avoid and exchange. I think Le learned his lesson about coming in prepared and if he wins it will surely be by tko.

I just think its about time for Tibau to get a good finish again. Decision is probably the safer bet though like you guys said.

We know how Guillard can finish and we know how he likes to be finished and if Camoes wins it will surely be by submission.

Roller/Alessio will probably be pretty boring

Mendes normally favors decisions, but Cody seems like he can be stopped by anyone with powerful hands. We know how Cody will win if he does. There is pretty much 0% chance of winning by ko/decision for him in my opinion

Menjivar/Easton is too close to call I think. It can really go either way and I'll stay away from it

I believe when I checked the odds favored Oliveira and when I don't know either fighter well I go by the odds. Izquierdo has only lost by submission, so thats how I figured he's lose if he does.


I eliminated the first three in my list because I don't see them being stoppages so I had to pick 5 out of the remanding 7

I'd like for them to set up a side game involving teams at one point. Maybe 3-5 person teams and see which teams have the highest points at the end of the season. We could have an FLD team or two.

I also hope he adds a FFL type game eventually like we do here. With the amount of people he has playing right now it would be interesting.

You get bonus points for being dfenichel's friend. That's why tyburn and bail is ranked higher than me.

You get different points based on main event, main card and prelim fights.

prelims are only worth 2 points for picking the right fighter and 1 for the method/round

main card is 4 points for fighter and 2/2 for the others

main event is 6 points for fighter and 3/3 for the others

hot event prelim fight is worth the same amount has a main card fight.

Don't forget the bonus points for the FOTN picks



He got more main card picks than some of us which gave him more points. I did great here, but did much better on the prelim fights than main card which is why he did better than me here. In fact I did better than everyone here except e-thug, but most people beat me there because I sucked bad on the main card fights.

Well, this is awesome. I had no idea you guys had such a strong thread going on here about the league. A few thoughts:

1) It wasn't a coincidence that you guys were all in the same bracket. I set the brackets based on when everyone signed up - the first 64 got in. 1st to sign up faced 2nd to sign up, etc. Bailyz paid for you guys at the same time, but I didn't want to have you guys all face each other in the 1st round, so I spread you out in the same bracket. Bailyz is in another bracket because he paid for himself much earlier than you guys.

2) It's amazing how much people like the Bracket Brawl. It was never intended to be a part of the league, but we ended up with exactly 64 people in the first season and I decided to put it together. It took off right away and now people love it even though there isn't much of a prize to it.

3) I'm definitely looking for feedback now that we've gotten started. What do you guys like and not like? In specific, I'd like some feedback on The Battle for Bloodshed being that it's new this season.

4) We will definitely be rolling out more side games in the future - it's difficult to do so because we have to provide prizes for them and it adds up after a while. I doubt we'll add another side game unless it's a free one for a couple seasons, as we're looking to build on the prizes that we offer for the main contest.

4b) Speaking of increasing the prizes, I'd like to pick your brains on us increasing the prizes. Most likely, we'll be looking to either increase the weekly prizes or the overall prizes. I'd like your feedback on which we should choose if we were to pick one. Additionally, if it's weekly prizes, should we increase the prize for the weekly winner, or offer more smaller prizes each week?

Battle for Bloodshed is a good game, good amount of strategy involved.

I'd increase the weekly prizes more so for following reasons:

1. Main prize is already killer
2. More prizes on a weekly basis = more winners which will put people in a good mood and more than likely will be repeat customers.

Best Event score over a season would be a good thing to give a prize for aswell.....other ideas for games:

1. Who gets the most points for Main Event
2. Who is most successful in the hot bout category.

I'm already happy with the weekly prizes as well, but more is always better I guess. I guess you could include free admission in future seasons like you do for the bracket brawl. Maybe you could make it so winning a weekly prize will grant you access back into the bracket brawl if you are eliminated and someone fails to submit their picks. If the opportunity doesn't happen the back to gift cards I guess.

Battle for Bloodshed is already good the way it is and is a great idea.

I think the scoring is great in the main game already, but if you ever looking to change then MY suggestion is to add a confidence portion to the picks. Put your most confident pick at the top and least at the bottom. If there are 10 fights and your most confident pick wins then its a bonus 10 points and least confident would be worth 1. Its the way we use to do the CPL when it first started and added a lot of strategy. Like I said, this is something I'd prefer, but I'm not sure if others would like it changed to that in the future. Maybe this could be added to a side game or something.

Forum idea is great too, I think we briefly discussed it along time ago. Not sure how we can go about making it automatic, but could definitely look into it. Got an idea for a new side game. Keep in mind that part of what we're looking to do is have a game that levels the playing field a bit.

Each card - each member gets assigned 5 fighters at random (the luck part).

You get a $500 budget to allocate amongst your fighters. You can choose to bet on whether they win or lose. You have to put a minimum of $50 on each fighter.

Money gets refunded and comes out as a wash. For the 1% of fights that end up that way I think you're turning it into a far bigger problem than it would actually be.

It's going to be a pretty simple game.

1) 2 man teams.

2) Each person on a team gets assigned 5 fights from each card at random. They pick ONLY THE METHOD of win.

3) Cumulative point system. Each season starts the 2nd card of the season and ends with the second to last card.

4) We're going to do this WWE style. The winner of the first season will be the tag team champions. They don't play the next season. Instead, after the next season is over, the winner of that season faces them for the tag team championship in the last card of the season.
