I do not understand it at all. From what I gather it is just rotating the right stick as fast as possible (how me and my friend play).
Can someone explain it to me?
Okay, I haven't played in a couple of weeks but I'll do my best to explain it.
The twirl the right stick really fast thing is just when you're attempting a sub, which you do by clicking the right stick down from almost any position, and basically whoever twirls it faster/has the most stamina at that point either gets the sub or escape it.
Transitions wise it's basically rotating the stick a bit slower in either quarter or half circular motions. The quarter circles are for minor transitions (ie full guard to half guard) and the half circles are for major transitions (ie full guard straight to side control). You can also block the othr playert transitioning by just holding the right stick to one side.
The best thing to do IMO, is to setup an easy game against the CPU, then whenever you hit a different position on the ground (ie sprawl, full guard, north south etc) pause the game and go to an option on the pause called move list or action list, something like that. You can then change the filter from strike to transition and it gives you a list of moves available to you and what motion you need to do with the right stick in order to do them.
Hope that helps a bit. Failing that I'd try to find an online tutorial or something, or try going through the one in the game although it's not exactly in depth.
