All of them are amazing writers but on top of being a great writer Miles also does all of the editing so he gets my vote.

You're all way off base. Hackett is a hack!

But honestly, Miles has had to shift more to the editing role, so I didn't really include him in my thought process for this award. For me it comes down to Matt and Jack. I'm going to go with Jack, because I really like his writing style (not that I don't like Bremner's), and he's got more of a portfolio under his belt.

All of them are amazing writers but on top of being a great writer Miles also does all of the editing (except for Brad's articles) so he gets my vote.

Don't worry homie, I won't hold this grave oversight against you.

Being the editor of the site, I get to read a lot of awesome stuff from all of you first. I love reading everything you guys have submitted, but I think I have to give the vote to Brad for Writer of the Year, because he's probably the most active writer we have. He's come up with "Brad's Friday Fight Bodega" and "Sloppy Brawl" series, ontop of submitting the most articles out of everyone, if I remember correctly anyway. A very hard vote, but Taschuk gets the nod.

Went with Hackett, ya do some serious work in the writer's section and deserve this award.

All the writers deserve a big thank you though, you guys do an incredible job.

Close between Brad and Jack but my fellow Brit just about edges it.

This wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be TBH.

I really like Bremner's and Thai's articles and while Miles has produced some epic pieces this year ("Debunking Dave Meltzer's Akiyama Myth" anyone?) and has done a great job editing, although I counted that more in my vote for him as staff member of the year, Brad really stands out here.

Friday Night Bodegas, Sloppy Slugfests, combined with some outstanding other pieces make that narrow ass motherfucker Taschuk a clear winner IMO.

Great work everyone though, it's amazing that IMO, we have some of the best MMA coverage around considering we've only been going for what, 9 months or something? And were basically spawned from a bunch of dudes discussing MMA on MMAF.

2010 will be a big year for FLD IMO.

I don't know how I didn't think of this before.

I already voted but I had to go and edit the poll to give 1 more vote to Jack. He took my idea of writing an article about the problems with scoring and actually took it from my head and put it down on paper and that was one of my favorite articles this year and one that I think was really important to write. If it wasn't for Jack I would have never been able to get it out of my head and on the site.

So Jack I had to vote again and give you a vote for that because you helped me out a lot there.

Haha thanks man, although you had just a big a hand in that as I did, if it wasn't for you having the idea it would never have been written, and if it wasn't for you throwing up those suggestion threads then I would have missed out half of the ideas in the article.

Bish for honorary writer of the year?;)

That sounds good to me Jack.

I did get the site it's very first interview and I've written 2 or 3 articles I think.

Someone do it up lol.
