Fights that were highly anticipated but had/have lost their "zing" by the time they finally were put together.

For me it was Liddell vs. Silva.

I wish it was put together when they were both on their prime and at the top of their game.

It was still a great fight even though Wanderlei lost, but I think it would have been a lot better had it been done a few years earlier.

Another fight that has lost it's "zing" for me is Hughes vs. Serra, the bad blood may still be hot between these guys but I'm just not amped for it anymore.

What are yours?

I really don't think Hughes/Serra is one of those matches, because it only became relavent within the last 1-2 years. Before 69, Serra was a nobody and had no reason to fight Hughes.

Fedor/Couture
Crocop/Couture
Nog/Couture

Just wouldn't be the same now, Couture isn't what he was 2-3 years ago, neither is Nog or Crocop.

I agree with both of those. Im guessing watching the unleashed brought this up?:)

Coleman vs Shogun 2

Sakuraba vs Tamura

Yeah when I saw it on, it still really bothers me. It would have been so kick-ass if Chuck has beaten Jackson at the GP and then gotten to fight Wanderlei that night.

That was when it had the most appeal, IMO

I have to say Hughes/Serra. I am still interested in that fight but they put SO much into the build up of it and to have it post-poned this long was really a downer

I have a mild curiosity about the hughes serra fight, as in I'll go drink beer at the bar and watch it, probably go to the bathroom to take a piss in the middle of the fight, and if it ends while I'm in there, I won't really feel bad about it.

Shogun vs Chuck is two years too late.

Wandy vs. Chuck for sure. It was a war of a fight, but it was still a few years too late from what it could have been. Of coarse this is probly all stemming from Unleashed a hour and a half ago. LOL.

I am still interested in Serra vs. Hughes because all that is left is bad blood. No title, no contendership, no nothing but pure I don't like you bad blood. They were both entertaining on TUF.

i'd say huges vs serra, i wish it could've happened sooner. rampage vs griffen was pretty delayed after their tuf stint as well.

couture is actually better than he was 2-3 years ago imo

Hughes/Serra definately, the return on Couture when he fought Brock, and if it ever happens Couture/Fedor
