what do you guys think? i'm still fairly new to photoshop, so any advice/constructive criticisms would help me out a lot

I think you need to do something on the left to bring attention to that side, I find my eyes focus on the image of him on the right, what I would try is a little inner boder on the picture (pic on right should sit on top of it) as well as a border around the entire sig, Id also try darkening the picture layer so it blends better with the other pic, the text is dope though

I'd put a border on it and a duplicate the picture on the right and set it to motion blur at like 138 pixels or somewhere around there and then play around with the layer type and the opacity so it helps to make that picture blend in a little better.

i couldn't figure out how to get the border to stop before the picture on the right, but i tried everything else you guys suggested.

Yeah it looks better with a border and I think the picture on the right is too big and kinda draws attention away from the rest.

I agree about changing the font aswell, crappy fonts can ruin really nice sigs IMO.

Very nice for an early effort though.

I don't know anything about photoshop really so I'd take anything I say with a pinch of salt.

I'm sure there are some tutorials around somewhere and there's some great GFX artists on here so keep posting what you make (get a portfolio going or something) cos you'll have some talented members comenting on them and helping you improve.

Really Steph? I actually quite like the text.

I like the changed version much better, its got a better feel to it as far as stuff working together.

thanks for the help guys, i really appreciate it. i'll be starting up a portfolio to track my progress and whatnot. i've found a couple of good tutorials online that have been helping me get started and whatnot. this has been my first week of really using photoshop on a regular basis, i'm still figuring everything out and get my bearings straight. thanks again guys!

Just wanted to say that I really like your sig, man. What Toxic said is right and you've really done well to tie in the left-hand side of the image now.

The Arlovski text looks great too in my opinion.
