I'm thinking of reading some Sartre. Can you recommend anything in particular I should start with?

Ooh is that the Watergate one? Yeah I read that ages ago. I liked it, but honestly I don't remember it brilliantly well.

What kind of stuff have you been reading lately anyway? I have a long reading list already, but any recommendations?

Novels of his I've read, including the obvious ones:
Cats Cradle - obvious one, but if you haven't read it yet then do.
Slauterhouse-Five - as above, great book.
Sirens of Titan - arguably his best book, it's definitely up there with the above two, but isn't as well known.
Player Piano - his first novel I think; I loved it. Lots of stuff about capitalism and automation.
God Bless You, Mr Rosewater - fun book, short chapters and worth a read, but only after some of the others I've mentioned.
Mother Night - interesting read and, again, short chapters - similar subject matter to Times Arrow by Amis.
Can't think of any others right now, although I have read more by him. Check out A Man Without a Country by him, too. Non-fiction, memoir type thing.
