Nice comparison! The song is "Constructing Towers" by Isis, an amazing post-metal/sludge band along the lines of Neurosis. Definitely check them out if you dig this song, their albums Oceanic and Panopticon are phenomenal! I'm going to see them on sunday, can't wait! \m/

Yeah, I live in Canada lol. I do get most of my films from the Pirate Bay and Mininova though. My favourite Ozu is "I Was Born, but..", I'll have to add those films you mentioned to my must watch list.

I highly recommend checking it out, I believe someone uploaded the whole thing on youtube if you can't find it anywhere else! Unfortunately I haven't seen any of Mizoguchi's works, I've only been able to find the works of Japanese directors like Ozu and Kurosawa online.
