I dont really know who she is since I dont really follow pop culture but I could see parents not wanting that to be seen by the age of children who watch sesame street. For a 4-5 year old that might be a bit much.

it's not overly cynical, people just don't want their 5 year olds looking at women wearing hardly anything. sesame street has long been a very traditional, wholesome tv show for kids. this kind of slutty dressing shouldn't be welcomed for the show.

She's not wearing hardly anything, she's wearing a dress lol.

If you think that's wearing hardly anything, or even particularly slutty, then I'm surprised TBH. It's not like she's in stockings and suspenders with a basque on, it's just a strapless dress.

There's nothing overly sexual or at all inappropriate about what she's wearing. In fact, I'd be more concerned about kids listening to her singing than anything else.

I think most of the princesses in the Disney movies wear less than she was lol. My kid is almost 8 and I don't think he is sitting at the TV trying to get a closer look
