I'm making a thread where we can post vids of olympians, strongmen, powerlifters. Motivation, celebration of hard work, whatever you want to call it. Something to make you want to get out and push for personal goals and get beastly.
I expect this summer will be good for new stuff what with all the olympic lifting that will be going on. First up a few choice vids. Konstantin Deadlifting 836lbs x4, raw, no belt. Eric Spoto doing 645 x4 flat bench raw. And finally, Pat Mendes, 20 years old(works with Broz) doing an 800lb ATG squat raw. A classic video, Naim Süleymanoğlu from Turkey. The strongest lifter for size ever. A 60kg/132lb dude at 4'10" who went on to achieve a 152.5kg/335lb snatch and a 190kg/418lb clean and jerk. |

Holy hell. That 705x4 at the end was just sick.
/inspired Here are a few more. Serge Redding setting a world record that lasted all of 5 mins before it was broken. Still an impressive showing of a clean and press. Here's one exercise I intend to learn and hopefully do with form even half as awesome as this.... The Dragon Flag. Motivation |

RIP One of the best videos ever... love Kirk. He straight up buries that squat...and has to walk it out. 617x2 front squat...looks easy too.

I've always liked Rhino, he doesn't appear or talk alot like a juice-head. I'd really like to see how someone like him would look in their 70s-80s.

Basque Stone Lifting. This is sick. 200kg, 1 arm to get up onto your shoulder?
Derek Poundstone, 410lbs Axle Clean and Push Press(2x press). Note: You can't do a normal clean with an axle because the entire bar will spin out of your hands at the top of the movement, so usually the person lifting will get it halfway up and change grips.
