This past week, FightLockdown was lucky enough to speak with UFC Lightweight Mark Bocek. The fighter discussed some of his roots in the sport, as well as his upcoming fight with Nik Lentz, his time spent at a new camp in preparation for that fight, and some general MMA talk. I didn't get to really tailor this interview as much as I would've liked since I jumped in on short notice to do it (I'm like the Donald Cerrone of MMA interviewers), but it still turned out pretty well.

I've found that when you get someone on the phone as opposed to just e-mailing them a few questions that you really get a lot more out of it.

Transcribing it is a bitch though.

Yeah i think Live/ real time interviews are deff preferable if you can get them. Just because you can kind of play off each answer as well with your next question and overall it helps the flow of the interview. Also you're more likely to get straight answers as opposed to PC answers they have had time to think about.
