Read through the entire piece and wow, that is a great breakdown. Saw it on Friday and I definitely felt the religious and moral overtones throughout the movie. While this was a great article to help interpret the symbolism behind the movie, it doesn't answer much of anything in relation to the actual storyline which was what left me a little confounded.

I think I left the theater with more questions than before I went in. There are still so many disconnections b/w Prometheus and Alien even though this wasn't intended to be a direct prequel, the film's events still precedes those of Alien.

Went to see Prometheus on Saturday night. Was pretty cool for sure. I never really watched Aliens so no idea how it connects to those movies but even stand-alone I thought this movie was great.

Like Revolver I could definitely feel/see the moral overtones but I am not the type to sit and analyze a movie while I am watching it but rather I just sit and enjoy it. The breakdown was pretty cool though as I didn't catch quite a bit of that. I think whether you just want to watch an entertaining movie or whether you want to try and catch all the hidden messages this is a great movie to go see.
