Liverpool is and will be trash for the next 5 years unless something massive goes down.

And shipping Kuyt away? Cmon dawgs.

Apparently Kaka has been offered to Man Utd on a one year loan. That would be an awesome signing!

We just need to give whoever's in charge some bloody time.

Hodgson got like 6 months to try and work with a squad built for Benitez?! Kenny was never the long term answer and I just hope Rodgers gets a fair shake.

I wasn't happy with Kuyt getting shipped out, his work rate is second to none and he gave are squad a bit of depth....Rodgers is trying to shape the team for his style of play though so I am trying to stay optimistic about it all.

I don't disagree with you that the reds boss should get a fair shake of the stick, but I still think they've got a long ass time to go before they're a real contender for top 2/3 let alone the title.

Also, they need to beef up their spending too, what with clubs like City and Chelsea with their bank roles swimming in the same ponds. Clubs who only a few years ago were as mediocre and sad as liverpool is now.

With the Financial Fair Play thing coming in over the next 1-2 years ya gonna see spending drop dramatically.....also where were you last season when Liverpool was making it rain money in the transfer market?!

We are in transition, its not as sad as you make it out to be, last year we made 2 cup finals and won 1, league form was terrible for the last half of the year but I think that had alot to do with are emphasis of winning a cup.

Is the Fair Play thing similar to the NHL's CBA where there's a hard cap set to have parity between teams?

It's a little similar, essentially you cant spend more than you make....so the big teams will still be big but It will certainly help even it out and keep the smaller teams from biting off more than they can chew.

Looks like QPR are signing Michael Dawson from Spurs for 9mil +. Newcastle could really use someone like Dawson.

The Sky Sports reporter from Spain was saying that if the British teams were clever they would raid all the Spanish talent this summer because all the clubs are in huge debt and about to go out of business. They owe 750 million Euros to the government.
