Alves, Daley, Zaromskis, Hardy or someone else?

Hypothetical question: if these people were to fight each other in MMA, who would come out as the best MMA striker?

Personally I'm going with Daley and I'm pretty sure most of you will too, but who knows lol.

Thoughts? Anyone else I should have considered for this poll IYO?

Pure striking it is either Daley or Alves with my money just about going towards Daley. Hardsy has decent power and some nice technique but i thought he was beginning to run out of ideas in the Swick fight when he wasn't finishing him. Not sold on Zaromskis yet.

daley has the best technical and power striking at 170 but i feel GSP should have been included because his striking is damn effective even if he is not a KO artist he is very precise and punishes any mistakes in an opponents stand up.

I clicked other for GSP - before I read your post, but otherwise Daley. Marius I've seen but can't compare as his opponents were all unknown to me.

I am going to go with Daley but Alves is a monster as well. I really want the Daley/Alves fight to happen. So many good strikers at 170: Marcus Davis, Chris Lytle, GSP, Hardy, Alves, and Daley but I think Alves and Daley are a notch above the rest.

Alves is really overrated, when he was fighting Lytle he was getting outstruck and got lucky with the cut.

Also, Paul Taylor & AJ need some love too...

Daley for sure. I do think GSP's striking is pretty underrated.

In a pure striking context Daley has the best striking in the 170 lb division.

In a MMA context I'd give it to GSP as he uses his striking most effectively to set up his TD's and smother his opponents so he can work his game and they can't do anything.

So if you were to put these guys in K-1 Daley would win but if you put them in an MMA fight I think GSP is the best striker, followed by Daley and then closely Hardy and Alves (tied for 3rd).

To avoid any confusion, in this case you should vote for GSP, not Daley, since I'm asking who the best MMA striker is (in a MMA context).
